Introduction of the lecturer
Questions often come naturally in our daily conversations. But seldom do we pay attention to them until they seize our attention. Asking questions can be a form of art which can both directly and indirectly impact almost every aspect of our lives, such as study and work. Asking good questions can help open the doors, uncover unforeseen pitfalls and spark new ideas. This webinar aims to look beyond the traditional 5Ws1H by providing participants the gateway to explore the art of asking questions with various interesting case studies.
At the end of the Zoom session, students will learn to: • Understand the purpose of six different types of questions • Apply the crafting of suitable questions for a specific purpose, and • Change the way of crafting questions, and be adaptable to the interviewee’s mood

Profile/ Areas of Interest:Hazel Tam holds a Masters in Education from the University of Hong Kong and is a seasoned regional facilitator and lecturer. Hazel has developed curriculums for Institutes of Higher Learning in Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. She is a certified adult educator and has vast experience with companies in different industries. She was also the Lead Teacher for Drama with her previous employer and has held the position of Head of Department for Literature.
At Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Hazel focuses on training and developing students’ capabilities in soft skills, such as communication skills and critical thinking skills. She is currently a lecturer heading the communication module for engineering students in the polytechnic.
